Hi, i am pretty good with C++ and im looking into DirectX 8 and was wondering where to start. If you could recommend any Tutorials or Books that would be great.

First you must get the sdk if you don't have it already from msdn.
Cheak out www.sunlightd.com for a dx tutorial.
BTW what compiler do you use? Since if you use borland or dev you need to get the proper lib files.
For good tutorials :
www.drunkenhyena.com : This has good tutorials
nexe.gamedev.net : Some samples, not bad, but not that good.
Also, keep an eye on www.gamedev.net DirectX forum. You'll mostly find people to answer your questions there.
Does anyone know what would be the best book to buy for a beginner starting DirectX 8.0?
