Yes, ofcourse. Marketing is probably the most important factor in regards to the success of a game. You'de have to make your first game good, because who would want to purchase a game from a company who has a 'bad name'.
If that situation is code for "I have..." hook me up!
I definitely think that you could develop a game with that kind of funding easily...just hire some good programmers and modelers, etc. You should probably hire some management that is experienced, too.
50 million is alot, you could hire a nice team and everything which would be about 4/5mil (if you paid them nice..about ~100k..haha i wish), then marketing etc would cost the rest, but youd have to have a good concept..someone should make a good adventure game, havent seen a good one of those in many moons
Is there anyone out there who made a good game that had no knowledge of programming or any other talents? But did have lots of money?
>>> made a good game that had no knowledge of programming
Only need a knowledge of programming if you are wanting to create a computer game. People who made "Trivial Pursuit" made a good game without necessarily needing to know anything about software.
>>> or any other talents?
Well that is pushing it a bit isn't it. If they have no talents, then they are unlikely to be terribly creative are they.
If said person keeps buying games, playing them, not touching the millions but living on the revenue, I see no problem with a very happy life. :pQuote:
