VC++ 6.0 vs .NET 2003
I have vc++ 6.0 with a very limited license. Im now wishing to purchase a fully licensed program. What is the difference between 6.0 and .NET 2003 other than .NET 2003 support the .NET frame work. Can I still make Win32 programs with .NET 2003? Is the syntax and rules changed around? etc.

.net 2003 is a fine compiler, probably the best microsoft have ever made. It supports just about all the c++ language except for export. Yes its perfect for windows programming.

The command line version and the windows sdk are both available on M$ site. I have linked it in another recent thread.
