Is it just me or does Microsoft's search feature suck? I realized this yet again as I tried to find something simple on MSDN and got hundreds of hits that were completely irrelevant to the search key in every conceivable way.

There's no advanced search feature I could ever find, which always stroke me as odd. There's a discussion somewhere in there where their techies actually talk about ways to improve MSDN content search.. and a video too. *shrug*
I prefer google with MSDN prefixed to my search string...
EDIT: This is the best they have to offer at the moment http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/search/refinement.aspx
On the plus side, @nthony has pointed out that MSDN search works great for those of us with an immature sense of humour! :D
search "buy office"
For searching, this is what I normally do, for MSDN -
which searches the msdn site for the word string. Then you can do some more google 'hacks' to make a more specific search.Quote:

You are correct Prelude. MSDN search sucks. Heh and they want to become the next Google. I hope they don't plan on using the same search algos as MSDN.
The MSDN search does suck, I end up using google "site:msdn.microsoft.com" more than anything.Quote:

It's a Microsoft sex position; that can mean only one thing: Bend over.Quote:
