Is there any compiler other than DJGPP that can successfully use the Allegro Game Programming Library by Shawn Hargreaves?
I just cannot get DJGPP to work.
Also what syntax do I use to get DJGPP to unzip the zip files into the same directory?

I've run Allegro successfuly on both Borland C++ and MSVC++ 6. Are you installing it correctly? This may help, thanks to Justin W:

Ive got borlandC++ which is a compiler I like to use. Are there any instructions on how to install allegro on this compiler.
I have TurboC++ Version 3, is this ok?
You don't need instructions when you use the installer I gave you a link to. Just download the files and run the installer, easy as can be.
