VBScript error in FF
Every time i try to visit a certain website (http://www.airsoftsverige.com/) using firefox I always get this error-message:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0005'
Invalid procedure call or argument: 'Mid'
/root/siteConf.asp, line 57
Now I have done some searching but have not found any solutions. I think (not 100% sure here) that this all started after I installed SP2. My os is windows xp sp 2, firefox version 1.0.7.
It works on other computers, and so far this is the only computer I have had problems with this on.

actually IMO i woudlnt go to 1.5 until you have to, (i guess now is that time though) i dont know if its just me but firefox seems a lot less stable in this version

The Fox is 100% stable in all versions I ever used except those I compiled myself.
Umm ... how can you get a VBScript error in FireFox on a page that uses PHP server-side?
I don't get an error in my Fox 1.5.

I'm going to have to disagree, I have notice stability issues with 1.5. They did a lot of rework on this version (hence the version number jump). It is more stable in some areas, but has a lot of random crashes with some things. I think it has to do with preventing buffer overflows, everytime I hit certain sites (which may have intentions of launching such an attack) the FF process dies. These sites did not cause 1.07 to crash, however my antivirus would catch something in FF's cache or a new process at that point.

?? beats me, maybe he's using an extension which dies when he visits that page? However I don't know of any FF extensions coded in vbscript...strange

I have no idea why it wont work with my firefox. Ill try it with firefox 1.5 but as i said, it works on other computers, and one of them runs firefox 1.0.6 and it has worked on that machine with the same version of firefox before.

Sorry to bump this old thread but I have now finally had time to try it out with Firefox 1.5 and it still wont work. I think that the SP2 broke it all for firefox :(
Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it. I had to do a complete wipeout of all previous installations (I went and deleted all the directorys where previous ff installations has been and after that I took away everything in the registry that concerned firefox. Last but not least I deleted the profile-folders).

I had the same problem with Flash. Movies just wouldn't play until I did a complete clean install.
