I would calss my C++ skills as an advanced beginner.
Can anyone recommend a good Windows-Gaming Programme Tutorial CD or DVD???
Alternatively a book but I find that I learn best from audio-visual.
Thanks for your time :)

Im in a similar place, at the moment im Reading "OpenGL Superbible" you can download it from link removed as a torrent.
it's not games programming but it's a definate step in the right direction.
Demonoid has a policy against illegal stuff... Or had atleast, havn't read it in awhile :P
Anyways, try searching "Beginning C++ Game Programming" on google, you should find a book called something like that which is kinda good ;)
But if you want a CD or DVD then I dunno :P
warez lol....
Check out the legal links to the Red Book and the Blue Book in the Game Programming forum sticky.
I would say you better get used to reading now as there is a whole lot more ahead of you. Sure CDs and DVDs may seem nice, but they suck for quick reference and books (along with online articles) are the generally accepted way to share information about computer science.
If you're going to attempt to learn game and/or graphics programming strictly through audio/visual, without reading, you may as well quit now. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but IMO, that's pretty much the way it is.
forget torrents. try amazon.com

This is an old book but my advanced c++ instructors LOVE it. it shows examples of just about every thing you could ever use in a FPS.http://www.amazon.com/Game-Programmi...973252&sr=11-1
