Stocks 'n' stuff...
The Dow dropped 382 points today. So far this
week it's dropped more than 1200 points. I don't
know a lot about the stock market. How bad is this?
Is the Airline/Tourism industry the main reason
it's falling? What about the tech industry? Is it
still strong? Are we going to have another
depression? Explain this stuff to me...

The western world has been dancing on the edge of recession for a while now. The disaster last week will probably tip the scales.

I think the airlines and travel industry have some parts to play, also insurance agencies that are expecting to go bankrupt on millions of dollars worth of claims from last weeks troubles. Nobody is really buying computer equipment as often anymore, telecommunications is going down the crapper, and some major trading companies in the world trade center have been destroyed. Doesn't sound too good economy wise. Goto The Globe And Mail and read up on matthew ingrams articles. The stock market is going to shiznit.
