    Check computer on network.

    Hello all,

Recently I've been trying to make a program that allows me to see if a computer that belongs to my network is switched on. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this?

    Thanks in advance.

How about "ping"? That only takes a script of some sort...

I agree with the matsp, "ping" is by far the most obvious choice.
I do not really know how you would monitor the ping though, to tell that it was successful or not. Hmm.
I don't know what to tell you.
Good Luck seems a good choice.
