I'm having a lot of trouble with proxies and wingates. I understand all the theory, how they work, etc., but I just can't connect to one and keep my connection. I would like to know the best method for finding proxies and wingates ( my aim is to be able to hide my IP everywhere - not just when on forums for example, HTTP, but also when connecting to IRC or ICQ, I want to be shown as from another country... complete anonymity ). I would also like to know, when I find a working proxy or wingate, and telnet to it ( using "telnet <proxy_ip> <port>" in CMD.exe ) why I sometimes get a load of HTTP and a lost connection, or get a black console for a while ( during which I can type things ) and then "Connection to host lost."...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
