    Networking Math problem

Assume a digitized TV picture is to be transmitted from a source that uses a matrix of 480 x 500 picture elements (pixels), where each pixel can take on one of 32 intensity values, and that 30 pictures are sent per second.
    (a) Assume a channel exists with a 4.5MHz bandwidth and a 35dB signal to noise ratio. Calculate the capacity of this channel and determine if the TV signal can be transmitted on it.
    (b) How much could the bandwidth of the channel be reduced and still be able to send the signal?
    (c) How much could the signal power be reduced and still be able to send the signal?

How many classes have you skipped before dumping your homework on us without any effort?

source that uses a matrix of 480 x 500 picture elements - Google Search

See, others know the truth as well.
Wireless network math solution? - Yahoo! Answers

Best thing for you right now is to drop the class and stop pretending that you're either interested or capable.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

Wow Salem, great catch. That search put it right on the homework assignment pdf. What class would that be, and what sort of reference would I need in order to perform those calculations? It reads like digital signal processing...is that correct?
