What did you recompile the kernel with then?

Is there a wireless network "wizard", and if so have you found it and tried to use it?

Or is the problem much more basic than that, and OpenSUSE10 simply doesn't recognise your wireless network card.
    - Have you checked the hardware compatibility guide for your distro to see if your network card is listed?
    - Have you tried to look to see if there is even a Linux driver for your network card?
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

    Clicky.

Also install 'kernel-source', 'make' and 'gcc' packages with YaST2.

    Hope this helps

The easiest way to use your wireless card on OpenSUSE, (assuming that you're using the KDE desktop environment), would be to install knetworkmanager. Knetworkmanager does almost everything for you, and you can use wifi just as easily as you would in windows.

Also, make sure you have the proper drivers for your card installed.
