Linux Shell and mp3
Now, I installed SuSe 9 on my computer dual boot along with windows XP.
From SuSe9's bootloader, there is an option to go directly to command shell, named Failsafe, just like command prompt option in windows startup menu.
As I am learning Unix in my university, I prefer to command shell purely. That's why I choose Failsafe menu whenever I boot. But I don't know how to listen/open mp3 sound in there. Anyone know???

You shouldn't boot into failsafe. You should really boot regularly but instead of runlevel 5 boot into runlevel 3. What bootloader are you using? Runlevel 3 is multi-user command line, and if at any time you wanted x, you just run 'startx'. It is multi-user because you have like 7 consoles I believe, you can access them with alt+Fn where n is 1-7.
