    2.6

With the release of 2.6 and the advent of C++ do you think the linux developers coded some of the source code in C++ to save time? Or did they stay with C for convention reasons? Just wondering.

The linux kernel will never be in C++ sorry, but when they rewrote the whole thing like 8 years ago or something they decided to stick with one language(They chose C) Go check for yourself the 2.6 kernel source is available for free(You probably get a precompiled version) at www.kernel.org
