I think ...
Edit: I requested that "Add reputation - how it works" be posted somewhere. Including all the abuse-proof features the mod been talking about, and everything pertinent to it.

Well in theory you could say you approve and leave a comment of "you are a poo-poo head"
thantos, your wise attitude has landed u a negative, wiseguy :P
Well I guess its only fair since I already gave you a negative
hes showing us up...negative for him
Well RoD's feedback is black, and he might be a n00b but he's been here a while and has a decent post count
Isn't the "cprogramming.com" logo supposed to point to cprogramming.com instead of cboard.cprogramming.com?

The world is waiting. I must leave you now.
The way it works - from what I can tell - the black ones with positive comments are from people with ectremely little or no reputation power. Because they are new here, have few posts, or have no reputation themselves - their votes count for little or nothing until they get a reputation here. This prevents rep pumping through dummy accounts. When RoD voted for you he probably had a rep power of 0, therefore his vote didn't count for anything.Originally Posted by Thantos
Ok I can't confirm that on my end since someone gave me another positive for my poo-poo head comment
So black would be neutral? Now say someone makes a neg comment but they have no rep so I get a black dot, then overtime they get some rep, will that dot chnage or will it say the same?
What if everyone disapproves everyone else right in the beginning... then nobody has any rep, so nobody can give rep to anyone else... Is there any safeguard against someone coming here and clicking 'disapprove' on everybody else infinitely (do a circuit type of thing so that they don't get "spread some rep around first"), until everyone's rep has thoroughly been ruined?
**An info sticky on how reps work would be nice...
Just Google It. √

There is a limit to the number of rep ratings a person can give in a day.Originally Posted by Hunter2
A sticky - or addition to the rules is possible or even likely. I've been thinking about that - right now I don't want to add clutter to the boards, but I'll figure out where to put it and add one soon...like after my exams are finished .
