We are aware of this problem and apologize for it. We were forced to change a setting on the board that caused several people's reputation choice to change. If you cannot resolve the problem by changing the setting in your user cp, please PM me and I'll make sure it gets fix.

    Sorry for the inconvenience,
    Kermi3

Not to beat a dead horse, but my rep got disabled when I checked the boards this morning as well. I reenabled it and things are back to normal now.

    [silly request]
Would it be possible for the reputation system to be extended so that we can reply to comments given? Perhaps without knowledge of the sender so that they can remain anonymous since that seems to be a big thing?
    [/silly request]

I've gotten two excellent comments recently that I'd like to respond to. Well, here they are with my replies, for lack of a better place:
Though I think you should've snuck something into the code that had no effect other than to say plainly "I did not write this code", in a way she probably wouldn't have noticed
    I did.
never got fustrated with me yet either!
It takes quite a bit to get me frustrated/irritated with a thread.
My best code is written with the delete key.

    >>Perhaps without knowledge of the sender so that they can remain anonymous since that seems to be a big thing?
And when they want to respond to your reply? Idea: To get a super high rating really quick, keep your anonymous reputation conversations going as long as possible. But on a more serious note, I think that's a good idea. I've had a couple reps that I'd like to reply to too.

I was thinking about the rep system a little bit and I have some ideas:

Make it more like ebay: everyone can see the feedbacks, who they are from, and what comment is left. Then I can look at say Prelude and see why she has XYZ score vs why I have my score.

At the main page, it says that the most recent thread in the FAQ forum is FAQ: substituting cout (C++) from 01-18-2003

However, I cannot access that thread from within the FAQ forum, only from the direct link at the main page. Perhaps there are too many stickys in the FAQ forum or something.

    In this thread:

    http://cboard.cprogramming.com/showt...968#post397968

the last "//" of the second code block appears inside the code block, even though I put the finishing [/CODE] before that line.

    I can't subscribe to a forum...only to a thread. I can't delete forum subscriptions either.
If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm. - Jack Klein

I dunno if this bug has been posted and this thread is far too lengthy to go through post by post.

I'm using the WYSIWYG editor version and everthing works, until I try to edit my post. For some strange reason when I edit my post everything inside of the code tags loses it's indentation. I normally indent all lines by 1 tab or 2 spaces inside of a function. When I see something wrong in my post or overlooked something in the preview and try to edit, all the indentation is gone. Everything is at the exact left margin.

    Quite annoying.

Yes, I posted this problem a while ago (although I'm not sure if it was in this thread... anyhow, it was ignored). It's a particular problem for me, because I tend to do my proofreading AFTER I've already posted, which means I almost always have to re-indent my code several times on each post.
