No, I think Salem did the right thing.
There was no way that anybody could help you with your issue given the information you provided.
No matter what anybody said or whatever help was offered, You really wanted to find a unicorn compiler option that doesn't exist, doesn't make sense, and if it did exist would not help you with your problem.
Worst of all you committed the sin of posting code for people to analyze and comment on, which had bugs, and it wasn't even the code you had an issue with. When somebody pointed out that it was buggy, you implied that they were foolish to be looking at it and not realizing that it was useless.
The locked thread has 1400 views, and you really were wasting time for each of those 1400 reader, and lowered the quality of information for people who might come and visit. The sooner it was locked, the better.
