Turn a round of U.S. Press

    Hi!

I'm not a US citizen and I'm barely into politics. But what I noticed is that after Trump, that US press (like MS News or CNN) is suddenly bashing the US government. WHY IS THAT? Or am I missing something.

As far as I know, no US precedent is better than Trump, they just behaved in a same lunatic, violent manner, but more decent in public. I'm not saying that ONLY US politicians are bad. ALL politicians in the world are insane.

You are missing quite a bit. The media is as polarized as our politics. Right wing stations will find a way to handwave away whatever Trump is doing or make political hay for him. Left wing stations will report Trump negatively.
As far as I know, no US precedent is better than Trump
In a lot of ways, Trumps behavior is different and more bizarre than any president I remember, and possibly any president ever, without exaggerating. No other president to my knowledge has put out ads like they're running for re-election 8 months into their term. Just to please his voter base, he recently pardoned a sheriff who ignored a court order and ran his prisons like concentration camps. Presidents usually pardon during the last months of their term.

It really seems like Trump can only make small gestures to raise his approval rating, which are otherwise meaningless.

Ok. So then my assumption is that, coz Trump does the same things Publicly, what others did Undercover, Left wing's has the change of thrashing him more violently. Is that a valid statement?

I mean, no. The minority party media always attacks the president for as long as they're the minority. As a responsible consumer you're supposed to see past the sensationalism.

All political news is AIDS atm.

I'll always admit when I'm wrong, and I concede that Trump is a piece of ......... Regret voting for him.

geek@02: So far, almost every president is better than Trump. Even Carter.

Even FDR? He imprisoned over 100,000 citizens of Japanese ancestry, simply because of their ethnicity. I haven't seen Trump do anything that egregious yet.

Trump is a complete d-bag and political opportunist, whose agenda appears to change as often as I change my socks, but I don't think he's done anything yet, to substantially damage American society.

also, not sure if it's a fair defense or not, but I would've expected whatever president to do the exact same in FDR's shoes

geek@02 makes a valid point regardless. Donald Trump is indeed just the veil of human politics somewhat uncovered. He's more of the same in a different package and label. He is a tremendous disappointment precisely because of that, and not because he's such a douche. Every president before him has been a douche. They just hide it.

When DT lied about draining a swamp that has clearly benefited congressional politics for decades, he was not lying more than the dozens of presidential candidates before him. When everyone feels so outraged about DT warmongering narrative, he's just bringing to the forefront of politics what previous candidates did in the background. The belligerent narrative of DT is no different than the belligerent attitude of Obama, the current champion of drone attacks. What really troubles people is that they prefer to live in this cocoon where people in office hide from them their worst side, so they can feel good about voting for them.

But what most (not all) of the detractors keep ignoring is that Trump was elected in a nation-wide voting process. And much more important than the political legitimacy this grants Trump, is the fact that such processes always expose the society as it is. Trump is a product of its own society. He's not ahead of it, making everyone a victim. He's a part of it and elected by it. In general terms, whatever Trump shows is what America is. And when these people finally understand this and agree that the problem is not Trump but the society past presidents helped shape and led to such an intellectual monkey like DT to become their president, then they will stand a chance at doing something about it.

I'll admit society shaped DT, but many non-up-Hillary's-ass people weren't happy with the choices they had.

This will never happen, because the de-facto purpose of the press is to run interference for the government, to keep people divided and fighting with each other, so the banking industry and military-industrial complex can continue to wage war all over the globe.

The enemy is not the other team. The enemy is the game itself.
