    Password quirk

Hello, I recently joined this great forum. I'm using a Password Manager and it usually works flawlessly but on a few accts there are certain quirks to logging in. This forum is one of those and I was wondering if any of you guys have this same issue with your pswd manager.

Oh here when I first arrive my password app automatically puts my user name & pswd into the form boxes. But I've learned if I then click log in, it does not accept the pswd and takes me to the usual page for such.

After some experimentation I've learned that this site accepts the user name as my pswd app originally puts it, but the pswd I have to first actually re-type in the pswd, OR it will also accept a manual paste (overwrite of the original form fill) from my pswd app and then it works.

But it won't accept the initial pswd manager form fill of the pswd. Just curious if anybody else have this?

I have not encountered this problem, but then:
    • My password manager is a standalone program from which I copy/paste credentials, with the clipboard wiped after a few seconds.
    • I'm usually logged in forever and ever amen.

I get maybe two dozen requests for help with some sort of programming or design problem every day. Most have more sense than to send me hundreds of lines of code. If they do, I ask them to find the smallest example that exhibits the problem and send me that. Mostly, they then find the error themselves. "Finding the smallest program that demonstrates the error" is a powerful debugging tool.

I haven't had a problem. One reason is because I try to put the cursor at the start of the form I want to fill in before I auto-type, and another reason is because Keepass is smart enough to submit. If you can edit the typing sequence, it shouldn't need to be simpler than username, tab, password, enter.

That's basically the procedure I do now for the password, however the user name holds from the original form fill.
My pswd man also deletes the clipboard after paste. Not really sure if any procedure of getting data into the form is completely hack proof unless you have clipboard monitors and keylogger hooks installed. And then some pswd man use drag and drop, so that's another area.

I also have to put the cursor in the password box before I paste (or type) since doing so deletes the original form fill. However for me it's after the fact, since as soon as I arrive on the forum site my pswd manager fills the form before I have a chance to do anything.
I'm using Password Manager XP, got it in a package deal with it's encryptor. It's excellent and very flexible for the most part. Just a few sites I have these minor inconveniences.
