    Ok, the count so far...

Grumpy was unarmed throughout the whole thing, but got himself injured afterwards on a paper weight. He's an idiot.
MutantJohn is lost. We are still trying to find him.
Jackass was somewhere else trying to fix an error on an illogical server. He's ok. Perhaps...
Phantomotap is badly injured and needs immediate medical attention (*).
Laserlight is violent and hysterical. Post traumatic disorder may be the diagnosis, if we can restrain him.
Gemera is confused. he's acting weird around the computers. Seems ok otherwise but I won't go near him. You go.
Salem is near dead. Phantomotap is letting no one near him.
Myself, I'm counting my likes and see if any is missing. I'm fine. Really.

Still there's many unaccounted for. And we just got an aftershock. Bad times, bad times.

(*) You can take our legs, our ability to speak, even our ability to procreate. But you can't take our hands or eyes. We are programmers, dammit!

Well, your icon did grow a beard in the downtime... :P

It was an odd thing though. Pinging the website didn't return any "host unreachable" ICMP message (it worked normally), but trying to telnet on port 80 failed to connect. I haven't been learning networking for too long a time (maybe a month and a half), I was thinking it meant that the server host was running, but that the application was off?

It wasn't a paper weight. It was actually a pair of 20 kg kettlebells. I'd just finished a quick series of reps, was a bit tired and lazy, and didn't apply good technique to put one of them down. My fault, definitely, for lack of concentration but I dispute the claim of idiocy.

Maybe not. But your emotional focus is a bit different.
Right 98% of the time, and don't care about the other 3%.

If I seem grumpy or unhelpful in reply to you, or tell you you need to demonstrate more effort before you can expect help, it is likely you deserve it. Suck it up, Buttercup, and read this, this, and this before posting again.

    O_o

    Now that is idiocy.

Don't you watch movies or television?

The natural state of "programmer" is either: scrawny weakling or orange potato.

    *shrug*

You also have the silly attractive Kate Libby from "Hackers", but that's the sort of film with cooperative keyboard interface extravaganza so can't be trusted.

I do .... but I don't typically watch shows about programmers, nerds, or geeks.

Although (gasp!) I confess to developing software on occasion, I've never claimed to be a programmer I also prefer good quality vegetables over processed starch.

I've known some (self-described) programmers who happen to be attractive women. Not all of them were silly.

100's of windows expanding, no way to tell what your reading, or which window has focus, and two people continue to smash the keyboard. Masterful haxoring, 10/10.

Did you just make that image up? That site worx fine here. And even if Illogicopedia doesent work, there's always Uncyclopedia to go to.

This Uncyclopedia that is...the others (like the Wikia one) are splits-ups and sites that were left to die but for some reason didnt, taken over by dip........s perhaps. The one I've linked to is where all the common-to-illogicopedia characters are there.

It's ok right now so you can visit it if you want. Trust me, you dont know what satire is unless you've read Illogico.

Yeah my emotional focus was on being absurd. A joke about inanimate objects! I can't believe you are actually being so serious about it!
