    Website Down

    Last week, the cprogramming.com website was down for several hours on one day, and again today it was down. Does anyone know what's going on? Is this something we should start to accept as normal?
    What can this strange device be?
    When I touch it, it gives forth a sound
    It's got wires that vibrate and give music
    What can this thing be that I found?

    I sure hope it doesn't become normal. I've also noticed significant lags at times (on both work and home computers).

    Between these things, and the "warnings" that are popping up, it seems the forum is slowly decaying. I really hope this isn't the case.

    I'm with you. If it was just one thing, I'd be fine with a few delays. As it stands, I'm not going to "accept the delays as normal" without some progress on other problems. I get that "vBulletin", "SSL Certs", and PHP coders aren't free, and I know the moderators have lives, but we have a few too many issues as is without adding "down half the time" to the mix.

    Delays certainly aren't normal. Unfortunately, the person who has the power to fix them appears to be busy with other stuff these days.

    That's a shame. Besides problem fixes, this forum could also use a good clean-up to keep things fresh. Hopefully one day these things can happen.

    This is the first time I've seen the board work today.

    I think I may join some of you others at a different place. ;_;

    I hope I'm kept in the loop if we do have an exodus to a new board.

    There is still something wrong with DB. I got database error one minute ago when I was trying to add post, when I eventually added the "last post by" field won't update.

    I don't know, and I'm not going to jump ship yet anyway. (I know how difficult it can be to manage forum software.) However, I do plan to join one of the forums Salem, grumpy, and many other regulars here also visit if things continue to deteriorate here for a time.

    Heheh, well, there are other C and C++ programming related forum communities out there. I am indeed a regular at another one, but this was my first and is one of the oldest still extant, to be best of my knowledge.
