x¹ and x² are free variables, so by definition it is not.

Sure, if you choose to interpret the statement as variable.

I chose to interpret the label "x¹" and "x²" as the fan names of a couple of popular games where the sequel is generally considered better.

In other words, I was making a joke which I thought you were doing, but I was apparently mistaken.

You make a good point I did not think about. But what does "x" mean exactly in a mathematical context? How does it make sense to apply powers to a game?
That would make or break what possible domain we could expect x to have.

If you lot are really trying to treat that statement as a mathematics statement, I only have one thing to say: -1.

Away for a week, turns into a flame war about something else entirely, even after I made a solid decision of going with C#.

FYI, this isn't a flame war. This is programmers/geeks having fun.

Indeed. Power makes the weak more weaker, strong more stronger, exception to this rule is Neo, because he is the one.

No programming language is perfect. There is not even a single best language; there are only languages well suited or perhaps poorly suited for particular purposes.

Maybe legally; but the kid looks more like the milkman (Mr. Java).
