    Installing Code::Blocks

    Hi to all,

    I just bought the 'Jumping Into C++' ebook. So far all is working, except that while installing Code::Blocks it's modifying my registry key. Do I have to allow it to do this, or can I prevent this editing?

    I'm very new to this type of programming. I have done some Visual Basic, and Waterloo Basic in the past.

    Any assistance would be appreciated,

    Dave Hubbard

    Code::Blocks does NOT have to modify registry values in order for most things to work.
    The uninstaller will not work; the registry of the file extensions will not work.
    And, I think there is one more thing that will not work.

    it's perfectly safe to allow this. nearly all installer programs modify the registry in one way or another. it's completely normal.
