[Urgent] Is anyone getting an Ouya?

I could not help but put "urgent" in the title. At the time of this post four, maybe five, posts are listed in the "What's New?" with "urgent" in the title. I did not want to buck trend.

    $(Title)!

Yep. That's really is the entire purpose of the this thread.

I'm just curious if any of my fellows here are investing in the Ouya.

I considered it, but I eventually decided to grab a cheaper "Android" "HDMI stick" almost entirely because "Google Play Store".

Then I came to my senses and instead bought three more Raspberry Pi.

    What? I love the little things. ^_^;

I have no opinion. But felt compelled to respond anyway since this is urgent.

    Nope. No plans whatsoever.
It's just a glorified android device that is really a PC since it is so customizable.
Sure, it's cheap, but call me paranoid. I'm going to wait and see if they can deliver on the promise to make any real games I would find entertaining and worth the money before even considering investing at all. Same goes for all next-gen consoles.

    *shrug*

That is a different kettle of lime colored frogs, but as you mentioned it, this generation feels very weird to me. This is the first time in my life I'm not looking forward to anything the new consoles have shown. Heck, I even found "Skyward Sword" such a disappointment I'm not ever stoked about the possibility for a new "Zelda".

Well, at least I have the original "Ninja Gaiden", "Super Metroid", and a lot of "Pokemon" to keep me happy through this dark time.

I equated that feeling with getting older... but mostly this is because there are people out there with gamin skillz better than I ever was. And they're probably 12.

I also found it to be disappointing.
Here is hoping that Nintendo can pull the gears out of its ass and stop being stubborn. Nintendo games USED to be fun.
And here's hoping other companies out their can do the same and produce zelda-like-ish titles. Seriously, how hard can it be? Just copy the concept!

Since it is labelled as urgent, I plan to wait another 24 hours before answering.

If you'd like the possibility of a faster response, remove the "urgent" tag.
Right 98% of the time, and don't care about the other 3%.

If I seem grumpy or unhelpful in reply to you, or tell you you need to demonstrate more effort before you can expect help, it is likely you deserve it. Suck it up, Buttercup, and read this, this, and this before posting again.

I was pleased to see Quake in the main nav. It deserves it.
