    Laptop-Power

I have a laptop, but I started using it like a desktop and will continue on. So, what about the power? I keep the power connected 24 hours per day. Some said that this can be harmful.

They suggested, to remove the battery and keep only the power attached all day (and night) long. Moreover, every two months, I should charge the battery so that it can live its maximum. Is this true?

It’s 2014 and I still use printf() for debugging.

I would check the manual or ask the manufacturer what they recommend (since I know nothing about battery tech). Was a long discussion relating to this not too long ago: Stop laptop battery from charging beyond certain point

If you are using it as a desktop and don't mind not having the battery as UPS, the best way to prolong battery longevity is to charge/discharge it to 40%, take it out, and store it in a cool, dry place.

Heat is the #1 enemy of lithium batteries, and the backs of laptops are usually pretty hot.

Technically the lower temperature the better, but putting it in a fridge is not a very good idea unless you have a way to stop condensation on the battery.
