Ah yes, another year gone, and another "end of the world party" to attend.
I wonder if the "end of the world" thing will ever go out of style. Knowing the propensity for humans to indulge in the irrational, fantastical mind-sets, as well as mistakenly projecting the pattern-seeking behavior of our brains onto the environment around us, coupled with the meaningless symbolism many people enjoy, I think it's likely this trend will continue unabated.
