Yep... it's post count. Keep asking and helping, you'll get there eventually.
What I find annoying is the location of the person's name (link) below the thread title. I'm always clicking people's names and going to their profile when I mean to go to the thread.

Yeah that new post button is way too small. Maybe if you are at 800x600 or something it's fine, but with today's resolutions, it's just way too small.
