You eliminate the ads by taking out a membership in the board...

Don't block innocent ads! It hurts webmasters all around the world!
I tend to block only those that disrupt the flow of the page, that is, ads that are being intrusive.
(You don't really notice ads on top of a page, do you?)

Use Flashblock. Those flash ads are intrusive and annoying and they suck up CPU like crazy.

I'm sure they will appreciate it!

What they do is give you a free membership to this board ... That's how webmasters gather the bucks to keep this going!

I'd bet real money that if we suddenly had to pay $25.00 a year to post here, you'd be complaining your fool head off.

Really... it's a minor inconvenience that provides a huge benfit... get over it.

I wouldn't pay a dime to access this site, none of you are employees of cprogramming.com to my knowledge. Any questions that are asked are just answered by other people. If the site provided it's own tech experts to answer questions, that'd be different.

whoa.....you might want to tread carefully with that train of thought.

+1 for mentioning Flashblock. That incredibly simple extension has saved me more headache than any other that I can think of. (Though Firebug and Adblock Plus are invaluable too)
