It looks like the latest DB restore has succeeded in bringing the boards back up. I did some spot checking, and posts look to be in the right place. I also see that the DB tables are properly timestamped, and of more normal size, so it looks like the operation fully completed this time.
Thanks to everyone (Salem, Laserlight and kezman) who alerted me to problems last time. If you do find something amiss that looks to be related to this restore (and not the original migration), post here.
Although I believe only a small number of posts were lost in window that wasn't covered by the DB backup, I apologize for to everyone who spent time writing up a post that was lost.
