    Forums update - syntax highlighting?

While the forums update topic is hot, why is syntax highlighting not implemeted yet? It is one of the things I (and probably many others) miss very much. It would really help to read badly formatted code. I know that people's highlighting styles vary, but it does not need to be complex.

I do not know why nobody ever mentions this.

I will add this to the list of features to consider adding--there may be some vBulletin plugins that implement it. Updating to vBulletin 4 reached a high priority for me as vBulletin 3 had reached end-of-life and it was time to upgrade.

One useful feature to add in conjunction with this would be automatic line numbers on tagged code.
It would make it a hell of a lot easier to be able to say "You need to finangle line 42".
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

I'm with Salem on this one... I'd consider line numbering far more helpful than syntax highlighting.
