Not exactly a bug, but in the advanced editor when replying, can an <hr /> be inserted between the recap of the posts? IIRC there was more of a separation of the previous posts when editing a reply in the old vBulletin.

It never occurred to me that someone might go through the effort of putting in code tags but get it so wrong. I'll take a look at coming up with a more robust checker tonight.
Okay, code tag checking v2 is now running. It splits a string into chunks of 'un-code-tagged' sections and checks each un-code-tagged' for an open or close curly brace. As with last time, I'll eventually turn it off for long-time posters to allow using open and close curly braces, but I want to keep it on for everyone to get bug reports.
Although I can search for threads I've started, I can't search for posts by me (not in the profile, and also not in the Advanced Search). This is my first post since the upgrade, perhaps it will force the system to index my other posts or something.

There is definitely something wrong with the search indexing--I'm not quite sure why. I will probably give the board another try at recreating the search index over the weekend to see if that improves the situation.
When making a reply, the board times you out too quickly. I didn't measure the length of time, but it seemed faster than before, and too fast for a board where the reply might include code or pseudo code, and be more complex than most boards content.
I don't think I know the timeout behavior you're referring to. Is it a PHP-related timeout, or is it something build into vBulletin?
I have an update on the search situation. I used the older server as a testbed, and I believe that if I clear the entire state of the search table an rebuild it, that we should get back to having properly working search. This will take about half a day, during which time searches are unlikely to work very well. I've started this process, so I believe everything should be in working order by tomorrow morning.
Update: The rebuild process is about 1/3 done. It looks like it got stuck at some point last night (and running on a production server is taking quite a bit longer than running on an idle server), but it's back making progress. My guess is that it should finish some time tomorrow.
Just wondered what the current status is... The search function still can't find any of my posts or threads (searching by my user name).

What's the dilly-o going on with that bit that's now above the fb like button? I didn't really understand its purpose when it was right at the top of pages on the old version of the board, and now I certainly don't understand it in its current position. The 'forum location' info it displays is already in the breadcrumb that's above the ad, and the 'first post on the page' content is directly underneath it. It seems to exist solely to display information that is already displayed 2 inches either side of it.
Also, if you switch to threaded or hybrid view (its the display button on the bar above the first post) you get a big white box above the first post that never seems to have anything in it. I'm guessing it's for the list of posts in the thread, but they appear underneath all the posts (and they say 'Guest' next to all the posts instead of the posters' name)

@spongfreddie The indexing process is approximately 90% complete (it's indexed about 900,000 of the 992,000 posts on the board). It's taking longer than I'd thought, but at this point I'd be shocked if it doesn't complete some time today. Regarding seeing your post history: right now, it is indexing new posts as they are created (in fact your question is indexed), and old posts, starting from the beginning of time. It looks like it's gotten through approximately October 2010 (based on doing searches on other users). Since you signed up in September 2010, it doesn't surprise me that your posts aren't indexed yet. I'll post here when indexing is complete.
@adeyblue: The text at the top there is designed to help search engines. The problem is that vBulletin by default does not include any H1 header tags, which are an important source of information for search engines; that text adds H1 tags around the thread title and provides a bit of additional information in a relevant location. Also, thanks for the bug report on the hybrid and threaded views. It looks like the threading is all at the bottom of the page, rather than fitting into the box like it should. I need to look further into this, and I've added it to the list of things I'm still working on.
Regarding that list: I've now fixed it so that users who aren't moderators show up in non-bold fonts.
Good news, the search index is now fully rebuilt and it appears to have properly indexed all posts.
