There is still a difference depending on which kind of search you do.
If I search for all of my posts mentioning valgrind, using the "search single content type" option, then it all works well.
Attachment 10554
But if I select just posts in search multiple content types, it comes up empty.
Even checking the "all types" check-box doesn't help.

One further thing, this error message appeared once, just after one of my search tests.
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 8 bytes) in /home/cprogram/public_html/cboard/includes/functions.php on line 1206

Yikes, I have no idea what's going on there--I will investigate.

The left hand "stack" in the forum display, has become ungawdly wide, leaving the message width, incredibly narrow. Trying to study code in that width is like trying to read a book, by looking through a straw. :(
Help!

On the old version, the username was displayed twice, once as a link, and again as static text (it might have been the description for being online/offline).
The static text was very convenient for just grabbing the name to paste into a reply (for those who don't like cumbersome quoting).
Now, with only a link, this is a lot more challenging :(

If I click on the >> arrow area JUST RIGHT, right before it takes me to the page, as it's about to click over, it gives me a box that lets me edit the title of the thread. Has anyone seen this?
I've never tried it fast enough, but right before it loads over to the new page, the title of the thread turns into an edit box, with the title text selected. I can't repeat it every time, and I haven't actually tried typing really fast and hitting enter to see if I could make it change the name, but it's really odd.
Edit - Found it. It's something to do with clicking the >> button so that when you click it, it's highlighted, and instead of going to the thred, it gives a thread-title-edit box. I don't know if it works, but if it does, this thread's title should now start with "(Found it!)"
Edit Edit - It is barely to the right of the >> button. It doesn't seem to work though, but it acts like it is. It will let you type whatever you want, and when you hit enter, next to the thread title, you get the "wheel of action" of the forum thinking it's updating something.

@Adak I'm not sure what you mean. Can you post a screenshot?
@Salem Interesting--there is a tradeoff of displaying a username twice since it adds a bit of noise. Can you think of a good place to post it?
@Quzah Sounds like a UI bug in vBulletin to me. Since it doesn't seem to cause major problems or allow an escalation of privileges, I'm not too worried about it.

Is there any way you could increase the text size in code and quote tags?
These old eyes have trouble with the smaller punctuation marks at the current size...

The ribbon at the top of each post has a lot of dead space in it, how about this?

So, one annoying thing to me:
Before the upgrade, "Mark all forums read" was a single click.
Now it's three: Forum Actions (drop-down appears), Mark all read (confirmation dialog appears), OK.
Can you at least get rid of that stupid confirmation dialog?

But if you've done a "search new posts", then there is a directly clickable link for "mark forums read".Attachment 10589

How do I filter that view for only the forums I care about? If I can't do that, it's pretty useless to me.

You could use the search to find new posts in the forums you're interested in.Attachment 10592
and still get a single-click link to mark all forums read.
But it will mark ALL the forums read, not just the ones you searched on.

O_o
I've just seen that as well. Crazy.
If you still have time when you see this, edit your post and copy the contents exactly as they are returned. I can't image that the context that produced that bug will not be valuable.

@Elysia
I moved your post to another board to allow the webmaster to look at it.
Not sure what it is but it looks like a nasty tag mismatch bug.
