Should be making 11 years in June, I think.

This version of the software has been around that long, but the site has been around longer than that. I was here (with Salem) before this version of the software for another year or two I think. I don't know how long Salem was around before I showed up.

A whois lookup showed that the DNS record for cprogramming.com was created on March 14th 1998. Should give some idea of how old this domain is at least.

Yep, the domain has been around in roughly this form since March, 1998. Before there was cprogramming.com, the kernel of the site was hosted on the free web hosting associated provided by my ISP. (Unfortunately, that site's no longer available even via the wayback machine although copies of the tutorial live on.)

I meant the "General Discussions" section, but thanks for the history lesson. 1998 sounds about right. vBulletin 3 is my absolute favorite forum software, I don't care for these "likes" though.

General Discussions has been around just as long as the rest of the vBulletin boards on the site. We periodically prune discussions from it and put them into the A Brief History of Cprogramming.com archive.

Meh the prognography section was better than GD.
All spelling mistakes, syntatical errors and stupid comments are intentional.
