Are you sure it still does? I remember reading somewhere where it was having issues and they converted it to C++. This thread proves nothing BTW and I do not recall anyone here calling C# a baby language. I rather enjoy the language and I use it for specific purposes just as I do C++. There's wording they will eventually change to the C++ based MilleniumIT. But at this point it still isn't clear if they will do it and when they will do it. The official word is "there's no formal decision" despite what some newsites like to put on their titles. It just so happens the fact a service with such critical requirements adopted C# annoys quite a few people. You see, it messes with their previously established conventions and their irrational assumptions.
It needs to be said that the exact same thing happened with their previous system based on COBOL. It didn't take long for the decision to be made that they needed to adopt another platform. But it took them decades to finally move to something else; Infolect.
