    Make Cprogramming Tapatalk Enabled

    Hello,
    As many people know, the world of the internet is growing very big and faster, then I want to suggest making our community Tapatalk enabled. This will help too much the users that use this board painfully when accessing it from any mobile device(like me).

    To install this modification, just follow the link: BlackBerry / Android / iPhone / Nokia app for vBulletin - Tapatalk - vBulletin.org Forum

    Best Regards,
    Nathan Paulino Campos

    Gosh, dunno what strikes me as more asinine; If your request, or your web 2.0 signature.

    Just... go back to your facebook and leave people alone here.

    You should contact the webmaster directly, for this.

    The best solution, I think, is to browse this site from a "real" (for the lack of a better word) computer. And use that "mobile device" for what it does best. Not a whole lot of people here want to complicate anything just so that we can stay constantly plugged in, with the latest fashion.

    I say screw those mobile devices. If they refuse to support web standards, then I say we refuse to support them.
    Aside from other things, what doesn't work, aside from that the screen is small?

    Tapatalk might be nice for forums and communities that are for pure socializing but most users here are posting problems when compiling/writing code, which I have never done from a phone.

    I'd be happy if you just served a custom stylesheet when serving mobile devices that increases the font size a little bit. I hate zooming web pages on the phone.
    Code:
    //try
    //{
    	if (a) do { f( b); } while(1);
    	else   do { f(!b); } while(1);
    //}

    I also browse this forum on a phone.

    They support web standards. Android and Apple browsers both use webkit, the same engine used in Chrome and Safari.

    The problem has nothing to do with web standard support. They can display them perfectly well. It's just that the layout is inconvenient to use on a mobile browser due to the small screen. The site is designed with big screens in mind.

    And yes, it is possible to make a forum perfectly usable on a mobile browser. Many forums have this "mobile mode" that it will automatically switch into if it detects you are on a mobile browser. CBoard is one of the few that doesn't.

    I'm impressed. Because after my own post here I opened cboard on my mobile in Opera Mini and it displays just fine.

    That's for seeing the forum. As far as posting is concerned, I could go on a lengthy rant about the stupidity of wanting to actually post on a forum using a phone. I'll avoid that because I've been enough of an arsehole on this thread. But this I will say: It's stupid.

    There is a problem. There are certain parts of the standard that those browsers just refuse to support. I believe fixed positioning is one of them. I know of a forum that uses it (and it's damn good, btw), but iCrap & co just refuses to support it. So they are lacking in the standarc department.

    Also, keeping in mind the small screen, how much would bigger fonts really help? You're going to end up scrolling a lot anyway. And zooming.

    Who cares about standards! That is not what iPhones and smart phones are for. Everyone knows that the iPhone can't make calls across half of America until AT&T exclusivity ends.

    Well, I don't know about apple stuff, but my phone renders this site perfectly, as in the same as my desktop browser. Just that the layout is borderline inconvenient to use.

    I have a high end phone with 5" screen at 800x480 or something. I can browse most sites comfortably. Typing this post on my phone btw.

    I wouldn't mind a nicer mobile interface to this forum. It's usable on my iPhone, but there's definitely room for improvement.
