    Alien swarm

Valve and Steam have showed their love to PC Gamers once again by releasing Alien Swam for free. It is an improvement upon the UT 2004 mod and uses the Source engine. Full source code is available as well.

My friends and I have been playing this and I must say for a free game it really is awesome. Very sickening to me that the team working on Portal 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 did Alien Swarm in their 'free' time. Proves that with the right talent and tools you can pretty much make anything you want.

I wasn't sure how much to expect from Alien Swarm, but I'm glad I tried it. I'm looking forward to playing it with people I know. Playing it with random people online is okay, but some of them don't understand ammo or health conservation.
If I did your homework for you, then you might pass your class without learning how to write a program like this. Then you might graduate and get your degree without learning how to write a program like this. You might become a professional programmer without knowing how to write a program like this. Someday you might work on a project with me without knowing how to write a program like this. Then I would have to do you serious bodily harm. - Jack Klein

Hehe. Indeed. Some people also do not realize they should not run out in front of their buddy when he is discharging his weapon. One another annoyance is people who run ahead and leave the group alone.

Check out the console commands for it.

Fully functional FPS mode. I must say I will probably be diving into modding this in the near future. Very cool.

So far I've only played online with the development team I'm on and a few from other teams and we work pretty well together on the game. I can imagine playing with 3 other random people might be a nightmare.
