Google celebrates "Nothing Interesting" Day by using its default banner.

If you'll note the banner on Google's Homepage, today, you will see that they're using their default banner to signify that there is nothing even remotely interesting happening today that they could make a clever banner about.

Personally I think this is the best banner I've seen in a long time.

Why is this thread the top Google result for nothing interesting day? I sort of expected Google to brag about a holiday they made up somewhere, not a holiday Sly made up though.

Actually it's the day after "Flag Day" here in the U.S. of A. That's gotta be interesting to someone somewhere.
