    Welcome to the VB era

    Dear programmers,

A new, exciting, and momentous era has arrived in the world of programming Yes, I am referring to the revolutionary high level language VB that has become the number one mainstream accepted programming language for both high level and low level executions.
Bugs are scarce and practically non existent in the latest version, it is extremely stable and capable of performing efficient scripts even at the lowest level.
Much of VB has been contributed to the development of many leading unix kernels. It's simplicity, reliability, and portability have made it the number one language of choice amongst the professional programming community. One of its most notable features is it's pointer system, where pointers are not needed thanks to the sophisticated mapping incorporated in VB's basic set of libraries (pointers are assigned and called automatically without the need for the developer to declare them).
Expect to see this powerful language replacing perl scripts, etc. in the near future.
If you are using glitch ridden languages such as C derivatives, you better get with the times.
VB certified professionals are the most sought after in our ever growing and competitive programming world.
VB will inevitably become the exclusive OOP language, do yourself a favor and get the latest version of Microsoft Visual VB today!.

    Sincerely yours,
    Jandea
8 Year VB veteran and developer

Aren't you like 15-20 years too late with your first post there?

I think you may be the only person to have made this sad waste of server space make me smile.

    Thank you!

I was trying to help you guys. But since you're convinced to use an obsolete language like C and its derivatives instead of the powerful Visual Basic, I feel sorry for you.

Lead programmers use VB, who has even heard of C these days? Get with the times, seriously.
Tell me one reason why someone would use a different language, just one.

Joke / troll / flamebait thread moved.
If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.

There is actually no real VB since VB.Net. VB.Net is a completely new language.

True, it's harder to hurt yourself with a squirt gun.

Look at a unix/*nix kernel source file, what do you see? You may not recognize real code when you first see it, so I'll give you a hint: Look at the first letter of the icon in the address bar of your browser.

Right, but most of us are part of the programming community that lives on earth, so...

You know your OS and browser are primarily written with those, right?

I'm sorry, did I miss something? Are you suggesting kernel source files aren't written in VB? You also tried to flame me by saying that, and I quote, 'may not recognize real code when I see it'.
You're probably still under the impression that C is real code...
    Kiddies....
