First off, I know Audacity has a click removal tool (which isn't that great from what I've been told).
Anyway, wondering if anyone knows of a free click/pop/skip removal or detection tool. Really tired of downloading songs and then later finding out that they have skips in them...which requires me to sit and listen + focus on whatever I download.
If not, I know what my next project is going to be.
Interesting...I have never needed such a tool (have only ripped my own stuff, no pops) so I will be interested in the answer here...what platform are you supporting? Linux.com :: Vinyl + Audacity = MP3 might be of help....what exactly is supposed to be wrong w/Audacity? Stop downloading with limewire, emule, or any of that other crap. Either buy your music (or cough* google... bandName discography site:thepiratebay.org and select the song from the list).

Yeah, I would just use a better source. I have thousands of mp3's and the only ones with pops and clicks in them are ones that were recorded from a stream or other playback (which is to be expected).
