I suffer from mild noise intolerance. At night, I prefer to enjoy the silence and don't listen to music at all. My biggest concentration factor is silence. Always was. Music however comes second and I usually use my headphones during the day which allows me to concentrate on the screen and do not get distracted by any outside sounds.

I prefer to code to music. I just find it relaxing and it helps me focus by taking away all other distractions around. But then again i enjoy going to sleep with the TV on aswell...
