    Holly crap! You are right!

How on earth did I go from Israel to Egypt? Should not skim so much. My bad and my apologies. Bah!

Waterskiing on a lake in a caldera (Beratan Lake at Bedugul Bali) surrounded by old temples and rain forrest, while a storm rolled over the top of the mountain.

Surfing in a pea-soup fog, 1 km from the coast. Can't see anything more than 15 m (50 feet), everything is dead calm and silent. Suddenly a wave appears out of the fog, the adrenalin rush was amazing.

Attending a 'man overboard' safety exercise on a 3 km jetty at a coal terminal in sunny tropical Qld. They threw in a dummy to show the procedure but a 4m shark attacked the dummy within 2 mins of it hitting the water. Swimming at any of the white sand beaches with crystal clear waters suddenly lost all appeal.

Look at their snouts. Thick == bad news.

Alligators and Salties have a very wide snout (but are not usually found in the same country), freshwater crocs have a thin, long snouts.

Freshies don't usually attack, while salties are very aggressive/territorial (and are sometimes found in freshwater). Since crocs are protected they have become more common and knowing which ones to avoid is important (when working in areas they can be found). I am yet to have to radio in an issue with a croc, though I have had to wait 2 hrs for a snake handler to get a King Brown out of my equipment.
