Medium-Well done, but still a tiny bit of pink in the middle. I'm not sure if I just get the "Yes, customer is idiot" checkbox checked when I order it like that(instead of just "medium" or "well done"), but it seems to come out exactly as I want it.

The lone vegetarian, I guess. I've always hated steak. . . never was much of a red-meat eater.

Medium rare for me. My fiancée likes her steak well done, and it kills me a little bit inside every time she orders it that way.

Friend of mine liked his steak very, very well done. He always complained that just the thought of pink in his steak made him ill (he especially hated the way I like it, which is much like abachler's pic... mmmm...). At restaurants he would send his steak back if it even had a hint of pink, and often even if it didn't. I consider what he did to his steak an attrocity. He also dumped so much A1 on it as to make me wonder why he bothered with the steak in the first place. I swear they could have literally sliced up a shoe and he would never have known the difference.

It depends on the cut. Mostly I cook my meat naked with maybe some salt and pepper fried in just a bit of either olive oil, lard, or bacon grease depending on what is available. Roast (which is what is in the picture) I simmer in water on low heat for 90 minutes with cloves, bay leaf, black pepper, and 1/8 cup of salt, which tenderizes the meat. I generally start eating it at 60 minutes, with some of the deeper portions needing til 90. Thats 90 from when it goes on the heat too, I start wit hot water from the tap, but do not let it boil first. I'm cooking a roast as we speak, and I'm going to try to repeat the results from the pic, which was delicious.

That's just a piece of meat.

If you want to make it into a meal, serve with rice, and have some slices of tomato and salad on the side. And a bit of soy sauce to flavour the meat.

Not to bad. But give me pepper sauce and I'll even have Abachler Steak any day!

Make some instant gravy, mash some boiled potatoes with a bit of butter. Yummy!
