    C++ Tutorials

    Hi -- I am brand new to C++ and programming in general.

    I just started doing the C++ tutorials the other day, and I am about half way through the basic section. I am doing pretty good on the quizzes, and usually dont miss any or one question here and there.

    I dont feel like I understand it yet, but as I go further, the previous lessons make more sense. And the quizzes say I am understanding it.

    Are the quizzes an accurate representation for understanding C++?

    Thanks!

    No, they just test your knowledge of the basic facts.

    Knowing a programming language is a journey, not a destination. Passing all the quiz questions proves you'll be able to read most of the signposts for your travels.
    If you dance barefoot on the broken glass of undefined behaviour, you've got to expect the occasional cut.
    If at first you don't succeed, try writing your phone number on the exam paper.
