    I keep coming back here to see how many threads are closed, thanks to Mk27's diligent participation.

    You can call me "the finisher". Period. End of story. Get it?

    I can only think of one, and even then it was more like someone else's reaction that lead to the closure. To be fair, I think Mk27 produces more interesting/insightful editorial than any of us combined here, and it's only natural that once in a while someone's going to be offended by his comments. You can't make everyone happy, after all.

    Besides that, he even provides programming advice to newbies, which makes him the only real source of edu-tainment on Cboard.

    I am here for the pie, definitely.

    But then Vista came out... Well, in the 90's I was Mac only and then at some point I started learning about Windows programming and somehow this place (and Raymond Chen's blog) turned out to be two very important resources. So I became regular for a few years.

    I remember that for a while I was prepared to even abandon Mac platform and concentrate 100% on Windows. Back in 2003 and 2004 it looked as if Windows platform is solid as a rock.

    And at some point I saw Vista and the iPhone in a matter of weeks and then I kind of lost interest for Windows development (even though now half of my income comes from the Windows side).

    Well, maybe it will all change with W7!? Maybe I'll have my pie after all.

    Yeah, you do that. You encourage him.

    Offended? Hardly ever. I just can't seem to agree with him on about anything. But that's cool. To bring it back OT, one of the reasons I'm around CBoards is because I like the debate.

    Think of it as, MK27 always gets the last word.
    Code:
    //try
    //{
    	if (a) do { f( b); } while(1);
    	else   do { f(!b); } while(1);
    //}

    When did they start making rose colored LCD monitors? There are some sites I'd like to see through one of those

    District 9 is actually the result of a failed Halo movie.
    ..and District 9 looks like it will be plenty enough of a failure on its own.

    I come to cprog to give back to the community and to learn. I still catch valuable tidbits here and there about programming. It's refreshing to see how other people approach a problem and helps me think outside of my own little box.

    This place accelerated my learning process and if it wasn't for some of the long time members here helping me at different times along the way I wouldn't be half the programmer I am today. It's a great place that fosters learning and sharing if you are willing to help yourself.

    I'd be offended if I had any respect for your opinion.
