    Unwrapping UVs

Is anyone else here using Blender? If you are I have several questions.

    • I'm using seams to unwrap UV's but I keep getting some very odd results. Advice?
    • Ideally I would like to use 1 texture per vehicle so that I do not have to do multiple set textures just to texture 1 object. Any ideas?
    • The near clip plane in perspective mode is so far out that I cannot zoom into my object without it being clipped. This makes it very hard to do cockpits and the like. Advice?

Odd results as in how? Rethink how it will look unwrapped. Are you unwrapping on the correct axis?

Go to the Textures tab and after you've created and named a texture. There is a purple box with and up and down arrow button to the left of it. Click it and load the previously created texture onto you other objects just by having them selected when you do this.

    What?

The near clip plane is clipping my objects in perspective mode. I need the clip plane to be closer to the camera. The problem is due to the fact that the far clip plane is too far from the near clip plane.

You can adjust these values by selecting the camera and going to the edit mode tab(f9). Under that there is a Clipping heading that has two boxes labeled start and end.
