Thread: diplaying movies in c++?

this is my first post in a thread... aint that great.

any way i am making a small game and would like to start it with an opening movie. i have a 7 second avi file and would like that to be the movie. right now in the game i'm using the sdl graphics library but i'm just looking for any way to show the movie. any help would be nice.

You can use DirectShow. It is deprecated but it works well and is simple to use.
