    Wink collision detection

Hey wassup, I was wondering if any of you out there know any good code that deals with plane collisions in 3D. i prefer OpenGL but Direct3D will do. Yes i have been to nehe site but the collision detection tutorial there does not do what i need. Thanks for all that reply

    peace

you are either one sick individual or one stupid individual, after the tragedy in the states recently do you think you should be asking how to model plane collisions!

Oh, iain - give the man a break. Other people have discussed and asked questions about things other than that, and you haven't flamed them. lay off him! It's good practice to not think about this tragedy 24/7

    >>if your not in there
    - im 3000 miles away

    >>give him a break
i though that the post could have been timed a little better, thats all! im sure some would agree.

(unless you mean plane as in line and not in aircraft , in which case i will go and look stupid in the corner)

He probably meant plane as in geometry... but still, the title of
the post is pretty ambigious. And going to NY you should have
noticed. Bad timing wording your question this way.

Im really sorry about the title. I meant Planes like in geometry. I didnt even catch the title until i read the first reply! If any of you are wodering, I want to write my own 3D engine using OpenGL. Im having a lot of trouble with collision detection in 3D and basically was wanting to know if anyone knew a good book or articles on the net that would help. I did take a look at a book called 3D games: volumn 1 blah blah, it deals with BSP trees and collision detection. If any of you guys have that book, please inform me on it. I didnt mean to offend anyone, this is a great board and I dont want to get kicked off or anything! As you can see, my unit did not go to NY this weekend however we did have many breifings on Afgan-Land and all the good stuff involved in War. They informed me and the rest of the guys that we might be leaving as soon as 2 weeks. They also told us that we might not be home for Christmas. That's really harsh being a 19 yr old freshman in college, but many people died and I want to take a part in getting things right. Again, I am really sorry and my apologies go out to all of you!!!

hey i havn't finished the book yet or gotten to collision detection but 'OpenGL Game Programming' by Kevin Hawkins and Dave Astle is an excelent book so far, teaches all the crap other Game/Graphics Programming don't, that your gonna have to have.
