Is there a .dds file format converter availible for Mac OS X

Hi, I've found a pile of files in the DirectX surface format (dds). Since I'm on a Mac, I need a utility to convert them. I've searched all over, but the only ones I can find are for Windows . Does anyone know of a utility that can perform this?

    Thanks

There is a photoshop plugin there, however I don't know if it will work on a Mac (one would hope) If not, it wouldn't be hard to make your own since DDS files don't have any complex compression.

I think I'm going crazy. The photoshop plugin only comes as a Windows executable, which makes it kind of difficult. And anyway, I'm using gimp. So I find a Gimp plugin. Then it says, "You need the following libraries: * and * and * and * and *. And of course I don't have any of those libraries, so I go off on a wild goose chase trying to download and install all these libraries required to build this stupid plugin. And of course all the libraries only come in source as well, so that requires MORE building.
