I've found 3 books I want to get, I only want two.So i'm wanting to know what would be better to get for a beginner. I foud a book for beginners at C++ for game programming teaches you how make so simple games and such Beginning C++ Game Programming (Game Development Series) .I'm going to get that one, but two I dont know about is a AI book,Programming Game AI by Example , and a 3D book,Introduction to 3D Game Programming with DirectX 9.0 .So which one should I get frist the AI or 3D?
I also found beginning to OpenGL, made by same people who made the Beginning C++ Game programing book.I just wanna know if I should learn AI frist or learn some graphics?
Really in all honesty, you could go your whole life and get a career programming without ever touching a graphics API. AI programming doesn't require a special API so I'd probably consider it first, even though I'm contradicting myself, as I know nothing of AI, but am beginning to become fluent in OpenGL...
Sometimes I forget what I am doing when I enter a room, actually, quite often.
Thanks for the suggestion.I have all ready order the beginners book for C++ in game programming, and maybe tomorrow if i can get money put on my card I will buy the AI one then after im done with both of those I go for the OpenGL.AI book got some simple projects that dont requier anything on on graphics.Thanks again
