    Allegro And SDL

Um, I've been doing game design for awhile, but this is the first time using a Library ( been using Genesis3D and GMax for modelling ), and I've been trying to install SDL and Allegro on Dev C++ for awhile and I still have had no luck. SDL returns alot of warnings and Allegro returns linker errors. I've followed the guides at the website and still no luck. I even installed the Allegro DevPack, but the same problem persists. I have a copy of Visual Studio 2005 laying around here somewhere, but I didn't want to resort to that because I see no difference between Studio and Dev C++.

    So.... any ideas/suggestions?

I've tried DevPaks, I get linker error. Do I have to set my project into Windows Project or something?

Be sure you use PowerArchiver to extract the files into DevC++. Winzip and winrar WILL NOT work. If you did not use PowerArchiver, uninstall and delete everything including Dev-C++ and start over.

If thats not it, ask at this forum:

Yes I have. RF script isn't that bad of a language but that engine was geared more towards beginners. Thats why I found Genesis3D so appealing, it has almost unlimited possibilities for a freeware engine.

Oh, I see. I'll start on that tonight after a good viewing of Tremors ( 1,2,3 and 4). And I'll check that website as soon as possible.
